Job Title: English Lecturer
Contract: Part Time 0.8 FTE, Fixed Term Contract until July 2025
Salary: £24,051 - £47,333 pro rata
Hours: 30 hours per week
Location: Cardiff, City Centre Campus
An exciting vacancy is available as English Lecturer in the General Education department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at the City Centre Campus.
Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be responsible for subject planning, delivery and assessment, ensuring a positive and value-driven experience for learners in line with the CAVC mission of transforming lives by unlocking potential and developing skills. We are looking for a passionate, committed teaching professional who can deliver teaching excellence, with a willingness to actively participate in CAVC life.
They will form part of both our Arts Learning Area, which aims to give learners a breadth and depth of enrichment and experience within this sphere.
They will undertake all pedagogic work such as classroom teaching and tutorial work on GCSE English Language, and A Level Welsh Baccalaureate courses.
They will also possess a teacher training qualification or be willing to work towards one, and have a relevant degree.
Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
