We are looking for 2 highly motivated, flexible and well qualified individuals to become key members of our school team. The role will involve working under the guidance of teaching staff and members of the School Leadership Team in order to deliver the curriculum.

Duties will include supporting individuals and groups of pupils using specialist skills, training and experience. This will include planning, delivering and evaluating learning experiences for groups of learners both indoors and outdoors. You will also contribute to teacher’s planning and assessments and occasionally supervise whole classes during short term absences of the class teacher.

You will have experience in a school setting and a good understanding of how to motivate children. You will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills to support our early readers, writers and mathematicians with their basic skills. In addition, you will be able to lead numeracy and literacy interventions in order to help learners make good progress. Patience, understanding, a caring attitude and the ability to provide support and build positive relationships is essential in this role. You will be a team player who is able to use their initiative to organise and plan their own time.

You will have NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications and experience.

The appointment process will involve a lesson observation.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
