The Governors of this successful Catholic secondary school are seeking to recruit as soon as possible, a Wellbeing and Safeguarding Officer.
The main purpose of the role is to support vulnerable learners by collaborating with parents, children/young people, and agencies for early problem identification and resolution, share and develop best practices, offer interventions to address identified needs, and establish direct services to fill gaps in support provision. The post holder will also be required to deputise as the Designated Senior Person for Child Protection (DSP).
Candidates should have at least GCSE (A-C) in Maths and English with a further qualification at certificate or diploma level being desirable. Experience in working with families, social work, education or health related services is required.
The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
