Teaching Assistant Level 3 - Maendy Primary School

Salary: Grade 5 | £28,142 - £31,022 PRO RATA

Maendy Primary are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant needs to be flexible and continually prepared to work in Phase 1 and 2, with the main placement being in Year 2. They should be reliable, resilient and flexible and work well as part of a team.

Maendy Primary is at the heart of the Community. The school has an ALN Resource Base, a BESD provision and, a part time Nursery. The successful candidate will be joining Maendy Primary at a very exciting time as we have recently moved to our new school building in the Summer term. This new development has provided us with the opportunity to expand one-form to a two-form entry with our pupil numbers expected to increase accordingly.

Candidates will be expected to:

• Work under the guidance of teaching staff and/or members of the school leadership team.
• To support individuals and groups of pupils to enable access to learning.
• To assist the teacher with the management of pupils in the classroom and beyond.
• To cover/supervise the whole class when needed.
