Essential Skills Tutors (Casual)

Pembrokeshire County Council
Job Description

Join our team of part-time Essential Skills Tutors in the Youth and Community Education division, where you'll play a vital role in promoting literacy and numeracy to adult learners of all backgrounds. As an experienced educator, you'll have the opportunity to plan and deliver courses that meet the diverse needs of adult learners, supporting them in their educational journey. With a commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative approach, you'll contribute to a dynamic learning environment that empowers individuals to achieve their goals.

To excel in this role, candidates should ideally possess a PGCE or level 3/4 Essential Skills Practitioner qualification, along with experience in teaching Adult Literacy/Numeracy. While Tier 1 Safeguarding training for children and vulnerable adults is preferred, we understand that not all candidates may have this prior to joining. Therefore, we provide comprehensive training for successful candidates. Knowledge of examination procedures and accreditation would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, along with a willingness to work flexibly across multiple centres. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and meet these criteria, apply now and be part of our mission to unlock the potential of every learner.
