Cook In Charge - Borras Park
Grade 04 Spinal Column Points 5 - 6
£23,500 - £23,893 pro rata
£12.18 - £12.38 per hour
TERM TIME ONLY
27.5 hours per week
A qualified cook is required to take charge of the catering operation at this primary school. There is potential to develop the service and the successful candidate will be expected to take an active part in this.
The main duties of the above post will include:-
1. Manage the service within the allocated targets set for labour and food costs.
2. Skilled cooking duties and an understanding of healthy cooking practices.
3. Supervision of other employees, including allocation of duties, work rotas and
training.
4. Supervision offood service, portion control and food presentation.
5. Associated clerical duties.
6. Health and Safety legislation.
7. Promotion of food service to customers.
8. Operation of a computerised school meals administration system.
