FULL TIME TEMPORARY FOUNDATION PHASE TEACHER x 2 posts

From 01/09/2024 - Until 31/08/2025

The Governing Body at Ysgol y Foryd are pleased to share an opportunity for 2 Foundation Phase teachers to join our excellent team for 1 year. The ability to work across the Foundation Phase is important and we are particularly interested in teachers who have high expectations of pupils, with the ability to support pupils to reach their potential, both emotionally and academically.

The successful candidate will join a happy, positive and highly successful school which benefits from having a highly professional and dedicated team of teachers and support staff. Ysgol y Foryd will see significant staff changes from September 2021, due to retirements and we are looking for new staff who are enthusiastic and passionate who are inspirational, caring, and with drive as we move towards a New Curriculum.

Applicants should be: -
  • Highly motivated with a passionate commitment to high quality teaching and learning
  • An excellent classroom practitioner
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the Foundation Phase and the new curriculum
  • Able to demonstrate high expectations in children's learning and discipline.
  • Able to build excellent relationships both with adults and children
  • Aware of the importance of a nurturing environment

Due to the nature of the posts the successful candidates will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment

The ability to communicate fluently through the medium of Welsh is desirable
