Swansea Council
Dylan Thomas Community School is a happy and safe school where the needs of all pupils are catered for and taken into account. All staff play a key part in ensuring that this continues. The successful candidate will be offered the full support and resources of the school to develop professionally in a highly supportive environment with inspirational and supportive colleagues

In our February 2024 Inspection, Estyn stated that "Staff at Dylan Thomas Community School offer pupils a consistently high quality of Care, Support & Guidance. The school has an inclusive family feel and there are strong relationships between pupils and staff"

Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative, talented, enthusiastic and committed teacher to teach English across KS3 & KS4. The school offers a supportive, well-resourced learning environment with a committed staff. The person appointed could be an NQT who would be offered excellent guidance and support.

The ability to communicate in Welsh would be advantageous but is not essential.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post requires a DBS Check to enhanced level.

Detailed Job descriptions, person specifications and application forms are available from e-teach or contacting the school.
