Role Title: Estates Technician

Location: Llysfasi

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

Salary: £24,111 - £24,717

We are currently recruiting an Estates Technician working from our Llysfasi site.

Reporting to an Estates Officer, you will be responsible for locking and unlocking College premises whilst safeguarding the related keys and codes. Patrolling, reacting to and managing incidents, you will set alarm systems and attend alarm call outs whilst escorting and supervising visitors and contractors on College premises.

Carrying out work required to maintain the estate and all related services to include various grounds maintenance duties as required, you will undertake minor building repair and building maintenance work along with scheduled preventative and planned maintenance work, complying with College procedures at all times. You will support the College cleaning services and grounds staff and organise room layouts with furniture and equipment to ensure that rooms are fit for the purpose.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience of a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Candidates must be able to conduct basic building maintenance tasks and have the ability to manhandle furniture, materials and equipment.
  • This position requires an element of shift working so flexibility around working hours is essential.
  • With excellent communication skills allowing you to create effective working relationships, you will be capable of analysing problems and selecting practical solutions and be able to follow instruction
  • A valid driving licence and access to own transport is essential.

Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
