About the role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic HLTA to join the Interim Tuition Support Service within Schools Services on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The tutor role is important in order to support pupils by providing quality education for the period they are unable to access mainstream school provision.

We are looking for tutors who:
  • are enthusiastic, energetic and flexible who can engage children on a one to one basis in lessons that are stimulating and engaging
  • ensure high standards of support in teaching and learning for pupils in receipt of tuition
  • have a positive impact on pupil progress and be effective at raising attainment
  • use positive and effective behaviour management strategies
  • can coordinate and organise appropriate support and work programmes for individuals
  • can demonstrate flexibility and be able to adapt to the different needs and values of the interim tuition service
  • have a strong commitment to their own professional development

We are looking to recruit an individual who:
  • has good communication and interpersonal Skills
  • has excellent negotiation skills
  • has excellent behaviour management skills
