Swansea Council
Parkland Primary School is situated approximately 3 miles west of Swansea's city centre. Parkland Primary serves a large area of Swansea West, comprising Sketty Park, Derwen Fawr and parts of Sketty. The school is situated within beautiful grounds which are comprised of three yards, two fields and a woodland area. Much emphasis is placed on children learning from first hand experiences and being immersed in their learning. We foster motivation and enjoyment in learning through providing a broad curriculum which focuses on academic progress, sports, the arts and thinking. We have firm beliefs in learner voice and children's rights and encourage pupils to develop a sense of responsibility and to show consideration for others through restorative practices. Our school nurtures pupils' metacognitive skills.
