Job Description

Grade 4 - £23,114 for 30 hours per week for 45.6 weeks per annum equating to £16,462.25 pro rata.

Haverfordwest High VC School is seeking to appoint a Level 2 Learning Support Assistant. This is a fixed term position until 7th April 2025, linked to the grant funded secondment of a member of staff. It has the potential to be extended should funding continue. The successful candidate would join us in working in an environment which promotes excellence, inclusion and high expectations.

Working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, the successful candidate will undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the organisation and management of pupils and the classroom. A primary focus of this role will include initiating and implementing literacy support plans for programmes of work.

A good standard of education, and an understanding of children/young peoples' needs and rights, together with experience of working with children is essential for this role.
