Pastoral Support Officer - Milford Haven School

Pembrokeshire County Council

Salary: Grade 5 - £24,294 - £25,545 pro rata

Job Description

Grade 5 - £24,294 for 32 hours per week for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £18,456.18 pro rata.

We are seeking to appoint 2 Pastoral Support Officers to work under the guidance of the Heads of House to take a lead role within school to provide pastoral support for pupils within two Houses, particularly from deprived backgrounds, in addressing attendance, behaviour and pastoral issues.

We are delighted to share the positive statements from our recent Estyn inspection. Estyn stated that "The school has refined and strengthened its wellbeing provision and this has had a positive impact on behaviour, attitudes to learning and attendance. This in turn has reinforced the schools high expectations of behaviour and attendance."

We work hard to help grow caring, thoughtful and passionate pupils who are proud of themselves and the community they live in. We are so very pleased that ESTYN recognised this in their report, commenting specifically on, "The sense of a close and supportive community and team ethos are strong aspects of life at Milford Haven School," this is all thanks to the incredible hard work of our pupils, staff and wider school family.
