About the RoleWe are seeking to appoint a dynamic and exceptionally skilled Deputy Headteacher for the Ceiriog Valley Federation. We are looking for a strategic leader to join our federation team and to continue to promote our inclusive and family ethos. This is an opportunity for an individual to be part of a dedicated Senior Leadership Team who demonstrate a resolute determination that the schools continuously improve. We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual who can work closely with the Headteacher to realise the vision of securing 'Happiness, Confidence and Success' in every aspect of school life. The individual will be initially based at Ysgol Cynddelw as a English Juniors class teacher but deputy across both federation schools, Ysgol Cynddelw & Ysgol Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog. As Deputy Headteacher, they will be supporting the Headteacher to lead a dedicated and passionate team, providing professional leadership to ensure that the school continues its improvement journey delivering high-quality education for all our pupils. Candidates should be fluent in Welsh and have a strong commitment to the Welsh language and culture.

• Demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership.
• Build on the strengths of our schools in collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Model and inspire excellent classroom practice, maintaining a strong passion for teaching and learning and support the staff in celebrating their successes.
• Motivate, inspire and engage all pupils and staff in the school community.
• Show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice.
• Maintain and strengthen the links across the federation and community promoting best practice and positive relationships to further develop the schools as a whole.
• Create an environment which secures positive behaviour, respect, tolerance and diversity for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.
• Be committed to a nurturing approach that supports all of our pupils and their families.
