The team at Glan Llyn Primary School would like to invite dedicated and inspirational individuals to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team from September 2024. We are currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for positions across the whole school, including in our Learning Resource Base and have both permanent and fixed term positions available.

Our children benefit hugely from the support given to them by our highly inclusive and nurturing team of staff and we would like to appoint individuals who:

• Are able to develop excellent working relationships with all children, staff and parents/carers.
• Are dedicated to the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of all children.
• Have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve and who will invest heavily in supporting them to reach their full potential.
• Are positive and respectful and reflect regularly on their practice in order to improve professionally.

We have specific positions available for the following:

• Teaching Assistants in mainstream Foundation Phase classrooms
• Teaching Assistants in the Learning Resource Base (LRB) classes
• Teaching Assistants to work one-to-one with pupils with social emotional and behavioural needs
• Teaching Assistants to support pupils with physical and medical needs.

Therefore, we are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have:

• Experience of working in a school or setting with children, supporting the teacher with a range of tasks
• Experience of supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small groups to help them make good progress in their wellbeing and learning
• The ability to use specific strategies to support children with social and communication needs.
• The ability to manage behaviour in a positive and respectful manner.
• The ability to work with a range of external agencies to support the needs of the children.
• Recent training or the willingness to attend training to support children with medical and physical needs.

Start Date: Monday 2nd September 2024
