Job Description

Grade 3 - £22,737 for 17.5 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per annum, equating to £10,753.99 pro rata.

Tenby Community Learning Centre is looking for a part time (3 days a week) Caretaker/Cleaner who will help ensure the smooth running and security of a busy community centre open to the public.

The normal duties of a Caretaker shall include the cleanliness and security of the premises for which the caretaker is responsible, together with its contents (including the operation of fire alarms and key holder responsibilities).

The applicant will be responsible for the cleaning and day to day maintenance of the building (library, youth club, offices, classrooms, corridors, toilets etc) and surrounding car park, grounds ,entrance areas, drains, gutters etc to meet all health and safety standards.

The caretaker will assist with smooth running of the centre by setting up classrooms/equipment as required, reporting health and safety issues and maintaining lighting and heating system.

Some portage duties is included as required.

The applicant will need to be able to work with the public and respond to customer need if necessary. Ability to work on own initiative an advantage.

The role requires mornings and evenings work when then caretaker opens up and locks up at night. Occasional weekend working may be required.
