The Governing Body and Headteacher at Charles Williams Church in Wales Primary are seeking to appoint a Level 2 School Support Officer. Charles Williams CiW Primary is a happy and welcoming school with a dedicated team of staff.

We are looking to appoint someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is able to work to deadlines, can multitask and compete with conflicting priorities; the successful candidate will be able work calmly under pressure and be an effective team player. Confidentiality is essential due to the nature of the duties undertaken.

The school administrative team is a busy working environment within the school that deals with a wide variety of tasks. The post holder is responsible for whole school day to day administration i.e., word-processing letters, forms, and documents, sending messages to parents, reception cover and telephone duties, along with basic first aid.

The School Support Officer is also required to assist the Senior School Support Officer with various administrative tasks.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate that:

• Has excellent ICT Skills and ability to use Google Suite and MS Office.
• Able to organise workload by priorities, multitasking and work flexibly.
• Has a proactive approach and a willingness to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost discretion.
• Has good verbal and written communication/numeracy skills.
• A minimum of one year's experience of general clerical / administrative / financial work.
• Approachable with a good sense of humour.

Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve a small task followed by an interview with members of the school leadership team and Senior Support Officer
