Ysgol Panteg, a Welsh-medium school in Pontypool, is looking for a hard-working, strategic and energetic Progress Step leader to become an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher, to expand children's horizons, build pupils' confidence and help us realise our vision of being excellent school. Our school is split into three departments and we have versatile leaders - therefore, we are advertising for a Progress Step 1, 2 or 3 leader and will work to place the individual where their strengths lie.

Applicants must:

  • have effective and motivating teaching skills;
  • have excellent communication skills in Welsh and English;
  • have excellent digital skills;
  • be committed to developing the learning provision for the benefit of all pupils, with an emphasis on excellence andinclusion;
  • be committed to self-improvement and systemic improvement;
  • be aware of the latest findings and research in the field;
  • be committed to working together with other schools in order to ensure the best possible practice;
  • show dedication to supporting pupils' linguistic and cultural development;
  • be committed to establishing a positive ethos rooted in the Welsh language and Welsh culture;
  • have the necessary flexibility to undertake different duties as part of the school's Senior Leadership Team.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Workers will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
