Primary School Bursar

Neath Port Talbot Council

Salary: £38,223 - £42,403 Pro Rata Term Time Only

Contract Type: X2 Temporary Posts

X1 Temporary in the first instance due to School Funding until 31/08/2025 and X1 to cover Maternity until 31/08/2025

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week/Term Time 41 weeks per year

Location of post: Various Schools throughout Neath Port Talbot

Workstyle : You will work from a fixed workplace in a different school each day.

We are currently looking for a Primary School Bursar to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for - Working in partnership with our schools and under a direct service agreement, to support the Headteachers across the Primary School Sector.

The main duties of the post;

-Preparation of School Budgets,

-Financial monthly monitoring,

-Monitoring of grant expenditure,

-HR administration and managing sickness absence,

-Providing assistance in the management of building facilities,

-Providing assistance in the management of Health and Safety

You will have experience in/of;

Financial management,

Line management of staff,

Being involved in a leadership role,

Knowledge of MS office packages Word and Excel

Ideally you will have;

-Minimum of 4 GCSE's (Grades A-C) or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics.

A relevant financial/business qualification.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the School's Senior Mangement Team, taking a lead role to ensure the smooth running of your group of schools.
