This is an important position for our school, as we aim to further improve the quality of provision and standards in English, which Estyn recently evaluated as being a strength at Abersychan School. The English Department consists of strong teachers and you would be part of a passionate team. An established Curriculum Leader of English is innovative and outward looking, always striving to develop the English curriculum. We would welcome applications from all candidates who meet the person specification, including PGCE students wishing to begin their teaching career as a NQT with us in September.
Abersychan School is an 11-16 comprehensive school which ensures that children of all abilities fulfil their potential. We are a school that is committed to ensuring that all our young people are happy, successful and ready for their lives beyond school. Our expectations and standards are high. The English Department at Abersychan School is a successful, hardworking and dynamic team with a shared vision to ensure that all students experience the highest quality teaching and learning to achieve their best. Provision in English is bolstered by a strong culture for reading and a challenging scheme of learning, which includes very well-planned lesson resources.
