JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Essential: Experience of working with children in a school setting

Personal Education, Qualifications and Qualities
• Qualifications / training relevant to the TA role, including a good standard of numeracy and literacy. (Minimum NVQ2)

Providing for the children’s needs:
• Have experience of working in a Foundation Phase Team – to include writing observations, small group work – including phonics and contributing to a child’s learning journey and next steps.
• Understanding of child development and learning.
• Be able to work consistently within the behaviour regulation systems and strategies of the setting.
• Be able to liaise and work with the classteacher and school leadership team
• Have working knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• Have experience of working closely with parents.
• Have a flexibility of approach to changes of routine and in following the interests of the children.
• Ability to relate well to children and establish good working relationships
• Good understanding of child development and learning processes
• Ability to use ICT effectively to support learning
• Take responsibility and be accountable for an area of outdoor learning
