Job Description

Due to the departure of a valued Early Years teacher, the Governors of Tenby Church in Wales Primary School seek to appoint an excellent Early Years/PS1 practitioner who will become an integral part of developing our successful school. He / she will have the vision and commitment to share in the leadership and continued improvement of all that we do, helping to further develop standards and provision at PS1 and PS2. This is a wonderful opportunity to become a permanent teacher who will contribute to our aim for excellence at Tenby Primary School.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is an excellent PS1 classroom practitioner, with the ability to inspire and set high standards and expectations in all aspects of school and community life;
  • has a strong understanding of early child development;
  • has a strong understanding of the Curriculum for Wales, including developments within assessment and progression;
  • understands the wider priorities of Welsh Government
  • is committed to child-centred education, promoting the achievement and well-being of children;
  • has a proven track record of, and commitment to, improving standards;
  • is approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • is committed to parent partnerships;
  • has excellent organisational skills and can contribute to strategic development, day-to-day running and maintain high quality teaching;
  • Has experience as a teacher in PS1/ PS2 classrooms;
  • Can offer core subject/ AOLE leadership experience if possible.
