Employer Engagement Officer

Conwy County Borough Council

Salary: £30,296 - £33,945 per annum (G06)

Work base: Coed Pella

Due to a rare vacancy in Conwy Employment Hub, we are seeking a replacement Employer Engagement Officer to join our dynamic and enthusiastic Engagement Team.

The Employer Engagement Officer will work closely alongside our existing Employer Engagement Officer as well as with a wide range of local employers to identify and source volunteering, work trials, work placements, apprenticeships and employment opportunities for our participants. You will work to support a team of Employment Mentors to maximise team performance and outcomes.

The role will involve elements of cold calling to bring new employers on board and will liaise closely with other employer engagement and business development team members and partners, internally and externally, to ensure that we are all working towards our employer engagement strategy.

Communities For Work Plus (CfW+) is a Welsh Government employability programme which has two primary objectives:
ii. tackling poverty through sustainable employment and fair work, and
ii. tackling inequality in employment by focusing support on those individuals most disadvantaged in the labour market.

This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
