Salary Scale 5: £27,492 - £30,185 pro rata per annum

(Actual Salary based on working 39 weeks per year - £7,115 - £7,812 per annum)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Instructor/Assessor in Hairdressing to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with lecturing staff to instruct and assess learners in a practical setting, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the hairdressing industry.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality education and training in the field of hairdressing, ensuring that our learners receive comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills to achieve their potential. The role includes delivering hands-on instruction and demonstration of hairdressing skills, guiding learners to achieve their best. You will carry out practical assessments and observations, provide constructive feedback and ensure compliance with awarding body standards. In collaboration with Lecturers, you will use innovative learning materials and engage in quality assurance processes.

You will have relevant qualifications in Hairdressing (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and ideally Assessor Qualifications, with proven experience of working in a salon environment and practical instruction. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work harmoniously with staff and learners, relate to a wide and diverse student population, and display excellent customer service at all times.
