Job Title: Plumbing and Heating Assessor
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £33,897 - £36,154 per annum
Location: Cardiff and Vale
We are looking for a passionate individual who will support learners within the workplace in achieving relevant frameworks. The role involves assessing learners on the City and Guilds level 2 and level 3 in Plumbing and Heating qualifications.
You will be responsible the assessment and progression of a caseload of learners, to achieve the set operational key performance indicators which include the recruitment of learners, monitoring of progression and achieving the qualification to meet the contract requirements. Other responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will possess a nationally recognised qualification appropriate to the programme and be able to demonstrate significant industrial experience. An Assessor/IQA qualification is desirable although not essential, as training will be given on the job.
In addition, Welsh language skills would be desirable. The successful candidate must also hold a clean driving licence and access to own transport since travel is integral to this role.

- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements within all areas of the learners' journey, which includes but not exclusive to health and safety vetting and monitoring, WEST testing, learner sign up and exit paperwork and on programme reviews.
- To undertake internal quality assurance (IQA), as outlined by the Awarding Organisation and directed by the Line Manager. These duties include attending quality assurance meetings.
- Actively engage with employers whilst on visits to promote work-based learning. Follow up leads and enquires in a timely manner.
- To actively develop the literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy of learners.
