Lecturer in Sport

Salary: £24,826.40 - £38,375.96 per annum, yn ddibynnol ar gymwysterau a phrofiad

This role is within the Sports area of the Service Industries Programme Area at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, and

is located at the Dolgellau campus.

This is an opportunity for a Sport lecturer to join our successful, dynamic and supportive team, the

successful candidate teach and co-ordinate Sports BTEC Level 3 courses, teach units on Outdoor Activities,

sports A-level courses, essential skills and aspects of the Welsh BAC.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high standards of teaching and learning within the

area of their expertise and give ongoing support, advice and guidance to students that promotes success.

Key expectations of the role:

1. To provide high quality teaching, to create effective opportunities for learning and to enable all

learners to achieve to the best of their ability.

2. Provide excellent extracurricular experiences for our learners.

3. Maintain the high standards of the provision with the support given to the learners.

4. Ensure that the Grŵp's policies and procedures are followed.

5. Supporting learners to succeed in order to achieve their targets or higher, challenging and stretching

our learners.

Holiday Entitlement
• 46 days leave per annum (pro rata).

• All normally observed public holidays, determined annually pro rata

• Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually pro rata

Working Pattern
30 hours per week.

677 hours annual teaching time - 19 to 21 hours teaching per week.

Up to 4 hours per week working off site in agreement with manager.
