Salary: £30,742 - £47,340 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) + SEN point.

We are a dedicated Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in the heart of Wales, committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students who require additional assistance and alternative educational pathways. Our goal is to reintegrate students into mainstream education or to provide them with the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in life.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Maths and Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students, many of whom face significant challenges both academically and personally. You will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths and Science, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths and Science lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage and motivate students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to create a cohesive support network for students.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• A degree in Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Maths and Science at secondary school level (Key Stages 3 and 4).
• Experience working in a PRU or with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people.
