THURSDAY AND FRIDAY 08:45-3:30 (11.5 HOURS PER WEEK)

The governors of St Mary's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and innovative team within our very happy, caring and inclusive school community.
The successful applicants will:
✔️ Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Wales
✔️ Respond sensitively to the individual care and developmental needs of young children, ensuring they feel safe, valued and supported
✔️ Assist with children's personal care, including toileting, hygiene routines and developing independence skills
✔️ Promote children's social, emotional and behavioural development, modelling positive interactions and nurturing relationships
✔️ Contribute to creating a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, indoors and outdoors
✔️ Supervise children during learning activities, continuous provision, outdoor play, snack time and transitions
✔️ Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) under the direction of the class teacher or ALNCo
✔️ Promote the use of Welsh language throughout daily routines and interactions
✔️ Prepare, organise and maintain learning resources, displays and classroom materials
✔️ Follow school policies to ensure the health, safety, safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils
✔️ Communicate effectively with staff, parents and external professionals to support children's progress
✔️ Work collaboratively as part of a supportive Foundation Phase team, contributing positively to the life of the classroom
