Project Support Officer (Anti-Racist Curriculum Project) - FTC until July 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer within the Projects and Funding department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based at the colleges One Canal Parade location. The role will support the landmark Anti-Racist Curriculum project and work closely with the Assistant Principal. In 2022 the Welsh Government announced that it was committed to ensuring Wales will be an anti-racist country by 2030 - the first country to make this commitment. A key part of its Anti-Racist Wales Action plan has been to develop an anti-racist further education curriculum.

Responsibilities include:

  • To work within the Project Management team to ensure a quality service to the College, upholding its reputation as a leading training provider in Wales through a first-class service to its learners, clients and contractors.
  • To ensure all records are compliant with awarding body, WEFO and Lead Partner guidance.
  • To support the implementation of systems and processes to ensure that all paperwork and evidence, including participant files, financial evidence and timesheets, are of appropriate quality and are consistent across campuses.
  • To devise and maintain Project Management Office systems, including data management and filing.
  • Producing project documents, briefing papers, and presentations, as appropriate.
  • To support the production of monthly verification and management reports which detail and analyse the outcomes of project data monitoring.
  • Organising and attending project meetings and ensuring the relevant people are well prepared for meetings.
  • To work with the Projects team to make all necessary preparations for internal/external audits, inspections and assessments including maintaining records and data as may be required which are identifiable, traceable and retrievable.
  • To assist in the setting up and maintaining of files and paperwork relating to project operation, staff and finance.
  • Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
