Gowerton Comprehensive School - Caretaker

The governing body of Gowerton School wish to appoint a pro-active Caretaker to join the premises team.

The successful candidate will work across the school site undertaking general caretaking duties, including carrying out repairs and maintenance of the school and the grounds to ensure the health and safety of our school community. In addition the will be a key holder, responsible for either opening up or locking up the school buildings and site at the beginning or end of the day.

Hours of work: We are looking to recruit someone full time for 37 hours/week (Mon-Fri). Further detail on shift patterns can be obtained by contacting the school.

Holiday entitlement: Holiday will be calculated on a pro rata basis in line with the Swansea Council policy and must be taken during school holidays (this is in addition to bank holidays):
Under 5 years' service - 25 days
5-9 years' service - 30 days
Over 10 years' service - 34 days
