Are you an inspirational leader passionate about making a real difference in public services as part of the Council's Corporate Leadership Team?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Director of Education, you will lead and shape the future of our education services. Overseeing continuous improvement across the board, encouraging the development of class-leading practice in teaching and learning, greater effectiveness in operations and estates, and an absolute focus on children at the heart of all we do.

The crucial importance to children of schools, play, social growth and education is clearer than ever before. In Blaenau Gwent, we have long understood its critical place in the development of thriving, fulfilled and happy young people. We have worked hard in the past decade to establish a resilient culture of aspiration, accountability and high expectations, and this role offers exceptional professionals a rare opportunity to build on a very strong legacy and take up a key corporate leadership role for the Council.
