The role:
Gower College is seeking to appoint two Schools support worker to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the exciting 14-16 Schools programme.
- Part-time (20 - 25 hours per week)
- Term-time (36 weeks per annum)
- One role is permanent, the other is 1 year fixed term
- Based on 20 hours per week, pro rata salary would be £10,107 per annum (£23,403 FTE)
- Tycoch campus
- Support and mentor young people, some with challenging behavior supporting them to achieve their full potential
- Liaise with the school staff and College lecturers, working together to create an effective environment for the learners
- Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent
- Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
- Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
- Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 28 days (pro-rata) annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
