Job Title: Curriculum Business Administrator (Foundations of Learning)
Contract: Part-time (0.5) / Permanent
Salary: £23,152 - £23,930 pro rata
Location: Cardiff and the Vale
Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a Curriculum Business Administrator based within the Foundations of Learning Faculty with a responsibility to work across our campuses. The successful candidate for the post will be primarily responsible to act as the main point of contact for the Faculty regarding administrative queries; including attendance, staff cover, resources and scheduling; as well as ensure that the staff are informed of the reported absence by updating the e-registers via Timetables and Registers.
The responsibilities of the role specifically include:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of using Student Records Systems within an Educational Environment as well as a high level of organisational skills and a proven track record of handling large amounts of data and administrative work.

- Monitor the distribution and review of e-registers via Dashboard to partner organisations.
- Assist with the process of educational visit forms and risk assessments and ensure approval by the Heads of Departments
- Support the faculty management team with the administration of student disciplinary process.
- Support the faculty staff and Curriculum Business Manager with tracking of new starters, withdrawals, transfers, destinations and progressions of faculty learners.
- Effectively administrate and minute Faculty and departmental team meetings, ensuring that the minutes are shared in a timely manner.
- Organise and monitor the appraisals, Probation Reviews, Teaching and Learning Observations and Learning Walks for all staff within the Faculty. Ensure that the paperwork for both are prepared and sent back to the relevant department in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all Curriculum Surveyor questionnaires are completed by learners.
- Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
