An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ladybirds, Pentrechwyth's Flying Start venue.

Flying Start is an initiative launched by the Welsh Government which aims to offer support to targeted pre-school children with their families, who live in designated areas of deprivation. Flying Start offers quality childcare to children as part of a multi-agency team approach, to improve outcomes in school and long-term preparation.

We want to appoint an excellent Flying Start Childcare Worker to support the manager and Flying Start deputy in providing quality childcare provision in our setting. You will need relevant qualifications, quality literacy skills and previous experience of providing childcare for children under 3. You will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and be enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children and their families as part of Flying Start and a community-focused school.

Application forms are available on the Swansea Council website; check the relevant qualifications. The link for the qualification framework is https://socialcare.wales/qualification-framework/job-roles/flying-start/flying-start-practitioner
