Job Role: Administration Assistant
Contract: Temporary until the 31/03/2025
Base: Barry Careers Centre
Hours of work: 29.6 hours per week (4 days) / Part time Monday to Thursday
Salary Scale: £19,165 - £19,467, pro rata to £23,956 - £24,334.
Starting Salary: £19,165 per annum pro rata to £23,956.

The successful applicant will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative and reception support to our Working Wales team. As part of the training programme for the role, the successful candidates will be required to undertake a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship, if not already in possession of this qualification.
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
• Welsh Language Skills i.e. the ability to pronounce and understand basic Welsh phrases, key Welsh language words, names, places, answer the phone, greet people and make introductions bilingually. We encourage applications from Welsh learners as assistance to improve your Welsh Language skills would be provided.
• Effective communication skills and ability to deal with queries (telephone, e-mail and face-to-face) from members of the public, internal staff and key stakeholders.
• Commitment to showing excellent customer service.
• Ability to deal with non- routine enquiries where negotiation and persuasion may be required
• Demonstrable ICT Skills
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and various deadline demands
• Ability to use initiative and judgement in day-to-day duties
• Ability to work as part of a team
