Job DescriptionThe Headteacher and Governing Body of Milford Haven School seek to appoint a hardworking, flexible and enthusiastic ALN teacher to join our highly committed team teaching Complex Needs students in our Bay Provision as an integral part of this forward thinking, fully inclusive and supportive school.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with pupils with social, emotional, ASD, MLD, SLD and behavioural difficulties. We would welcome both Primary and Secondary trained teachers to apply for this post though experience/interest in teaching at Progression Step 1-3 would be useful. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high aspirations for all pupils but particularly those with additional learning needs, a commitment to raising standards and the creativity to find innovative ways to enhance and enrich the learning experience for all Bay students. The successful candidate must also have a commitment to inclusive education and be determined to ensure that all young people are enabled to make progress and achieve their full potential.
You may work with individuals who have a range of needs within the following categories: cognition & learning; communication and interaction; social, emotional and mental health and physical &/or sensory difficulties.
Class sizes are small and candidates will be asked to demonstrate skills and experience in leading a class team of support staff. The curriculum is designed to be highly personalised for each student and the successful candidate will demonstrate how they will reflect this in their planning, teaching and deployment of their TA's.
