Ysgol Trefonnen is a dual stream, voluntary controlled, community focussed Church in Wales school for children aged 4-11 years; some of our children learn entirely through the medium of Welsh and some through English. However, all our pupils share the common experience of living and learning in Wales. Within the school building, we have seven classrooms, a pre-school Early Years group (English medium), a Cylch Meithrin (Welsh medium pre-school group), two Welsh Government funded Flying Start settings, a beneficial Food & Fun Summer Holiday Club and hugely successful Community Fridge.
FLYING START ASSISTANT (FIXED TERM)
18.5 hours per Week - as soon as possible until March 31st 2025
We currently have an opportunity for an Flying Start Assistant to join our reliable, hardworking and efficient team.
We are looking for an assistant who:
• has achieved a level 3 qualification that is recognised on the Care Council for Wales' current list of Accepted Qualifications for the Early Years
• has a sound understanding of early years principles & practice and
• would:
➢ contribute to planning and record keeping.
➢ supervise & interact effectively with children during the sessions.
➢ support children consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
➢ promote inclusion.
The work pattern for these roles is:
18.5 hrs Flying Start - Mon to Fri, 9.15 - 12.15 (9.15 - 1.15 on a Fri to allow for team planning)
