The Headteacher and Governing Body of Edwardsville Primary School wish to appointment an Assistant Headteacher to lead our Nursery provision commencing January 2025.
Edwardsville Primary School caters for children from 3-11 years. The school is maintained by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. There are currently 360 pupils on roll. Edwardsville Primary is based over 2 sites - our nursery is situated in the village of Treharris with our primary site situated in Edwardsville. We are also fortunate to have two onsite Learning Resource Bases within our primary site school, offering a provision for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our senior leadership team and lead a busy and successful Nursery. The successful candidate will take lead responsibility for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the Nursery site under the direction of the Headteacher.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work with confidence and independence on a day-to-day basis, whilst maintaining effective communication.
The successful candidate will be passionate about children's learning and development and someone who relishes the challenge of keeping practice current and relevant.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional practitioner, an experienced curriculum and team leader and a key person in the Leadership Team.
