Pen-y-Cwm Special School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join an enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff, to support learners with complex needs in our 4 - 19 special school in Ebbw Vale.The candidate must be willing to demonstrate they are a team player alongside our established support team, maintaining their core values by:
- Enabling learners to be successful through developing and supporting excellent attitudes to learning.
- Supporting learner's emotional wellbeing, enabling them to be safe at all times.
- You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
- You must be resourceful, positive, emotionally resilient and have a holistic approach to supporting the needs of children and young people. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring ethos of our school is essential.
The post would suit someone with flexibility, enthusiasm and sensitivity, as well as an excellent understanding of ALN. The post holder must be prepared to support all learners across the whole age range.
