Dylan Thomas Community School : Family Liaison Officer

Governors are seeking to appoint a Family Liaison Officer to build positive relationships with young people and their families. Applicants will need to have experience of working in a school setting. Working as part of the Pastoral Team, under the guidance of the Deputy Headteacher you will support and strengthen the work of Heads of Year and Pastoral Support Officers, driving up standards, improving attendance and reducing exclusions.

You will also have the responsibility for working with small groups to develop their behaviour and engagement and ensure successful outcomes. You will also need to engage with families and external agencies to enable the school to operate restorative approaches and effective interventions to address identified needs.

Successful candidates will have a dedication to furthering pupils learning & development, together with the ability to use initiative and creativity. This post permanent subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and a 6 month probationary period. You will require your own transport.
