About The ServiceCardiff Youth Service are seeking to recruit Youth Support Workers to develop and support our Welsh Language Locality Youth Work model.

We are looking for strength based professionally qualified and registered Youth Workers who are keen to be at the forefront of Youth Work practice.
We support the learning and development of individuals through leadership and management development opportunities whilst actively involving staff in learning, coaching and mentoring that enables the continuous professional development of the service.

Cardiff Youth Service are seeking to establish locality teams to support Youth Work and Wider Youth Support Services within the communities of Cardiff. The new structure seeks to create a locality model that is built on partnership working and collaborative practice.
This is a multi-disciplinary role in which the post holder will be required to undertake a range of Youth Work methodologies through the medium of Welsh, including; targeted case loaded support, open access Youth Work, detached and outreach work and curriculum based delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the service which puts the individual at the heart of our work.
You will be a key team practitioner and set standards for Youth Support Work practice.
You will form part of a locality Youth Work delivery team taking responsibility for developing practice and co-producing work with young people.
The Youth Support Worker will be required to support the delivery of a flexible and adaptable Youth Work programme in a locality.
The post holder will be required to develop Welsh Language Youth Work programmes in partnership with young people ensuring that co-production is integral to Youth Work delivery.
What We Are Looking For From You
Any applicants need to comply with current qualification and registration outlined by the Education Workforce Council.
The successful candidates will have the passion and drive to delivering an excellent sustainable service to our young people, communities and wider service partners.
The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish positive relationships with young people and motivate them to participate in activities and events.
You will have a proven track record of working collaboratively and as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
You will have co-produced work with young people as well as developing a flexible approach to supporting young people's needs.
You will become a key part of the Youth Service team and have an active role in delivering a locality model that seeks to support the best outcomes for young people.

Grade: T00 15 (£31,528 per annum - pro rata)
The successful applicant(s) should be able to communicate effectively in Welsh to Level 4 - Advanced.
This post has a requirement for registration with the Education Workforce Council.
