Catering Assistant

We are currently looking for reliable Catering Assistant to join our hardworking friendly team in the refectory at the Gorseinon Campus.
  • Permanent position, 37 hours per week, term time only, 34 weeks a year.
  • 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday. No evenings or weekends.

  • Salary £12.00 per hour, £17,471 per annum
The ideal candidate would have previous catering experience with a passion for food, great customer service skills and a good awareness of food hygiene, ideally holding a Level 2 Food safety Certificate, if you have not completed your food safety training, this is something we will provide..

Friendly, confident and approachable personality with the ability to work within a team whilst using your own initiative to ensure we maintain the high level of service we provide.

The daily duties would consist of, but not limited to, assisting the Head Cook with providing a cooked breakfast, preparing the salad bar, cooking items in the fryers, serving food on the servery, working the till and all aspects of cleaning within the refectory and kitchen.
