Come and join our team
We are keen to appoint a motivated, qualified and experienced Emotional, Literacy and Inclusion Officer here at Ysgol Coedcae.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, forward-thinking and tenacious individual to join our strong team of colleagues who are fully committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for our pupils.

Ysgol Coedcae is a popular, thriving organisation, serving a very diverse community in an urban part of Llanelli, within the Carmarthenshire local authority area.

Our school finds itself in a privileged location: we are within a few miles of the M4, which allows for commuting, travel and convenient ease of access to Cardiff city with all its retail, leisure and hospitality opportunities, yet we benefit greatly from our proximity to the coast and countryside. In fact, Gower is a stone's throw from our school and the Brecon Beacons and Pembroke Coast national parks are an easy ride away.

Ours is a mixed secondary school for 11-16 year olds. There are currently 920 pupils on roll. Most of our pupils live in the immediate catchment area of our school, with some coming on the register as preferred placements.

We are privileged to be able to deploy a strong team of 54 support staff and 56 teachers here at Ysgol Coedcae. Teaching and associate staff are caring, talented and hard-working colleagues, and there is a strong commitment to continuous improvement. We take professional development very seriously and aim

to nurture the talents of all colleagues. Involving and empowering all staff is important to us in our drive to raise standards and we really strive to work as one team, in the best interests of our pupils.
