We are currently looking for an outgoing part time library assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to deliver a wide range of library and information services, promoting the library and engaging with the community
Main duties and responsibilities of the post are:-
-Assisting in the day to day running of a Library
-Assisting with events and activities at the library
-Promoting digital skills and providing support for users
-Providing community information, including health and wellbeing
-Working with the library team to promote reading and literacy
You will have experience of:-
- Working with the public, preferably in a library or customer service environment
- Working as part of a team
Ideally you will have:-
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to successfully undertake routine tasks
- A good knowledge of ICT and the ability to support library users
- A minimum of 4 GCSE's (Grage A-C) or equivalent, one of which should be English Language
- A positive approach to organising, running and supporting activities and events in the library to support the wider community
As part of the team, you will be required to work Saturday's for which an enhanced rate of pay will be made.
The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in hours of work and location.
