MOBILE COOK IN CHARGE

G04 £23,500 - £23,893 pro rata

£12.18 - £12.38 hour

TERM TIME ONLY

25 hours per week

38 weeks per year

A qualified cook is required to cover for staff absences for the school meals catering service in Wrexham.

The hours of work will be 25 per week. When covering for sickness hours will vary according to site target hours.

A full driving licence and business use insurance cover, and the use of a car is essential. Travelling expenses will be paid for travel from base kitchen to schools within the area.

The main duties of the above post will include:-

1. Manage the service within the allocated targets set for labour and food costs.

2. Skilled cooking duties and an understanding of healthy cooking practices.

3. Supervision of other employees, including allocation of duties, work rotas and training.

4. Operation of a computerised administration system.

5. Supervision of food service, portion control and food presentation.

6. Associated clerical duties.

7. Health and Safety legislation.

8. Promotion of food service to customers.

9. Any duties commensurate with nature and grade of post.
