The Role: Business Support Officer

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as Business Support Officer. In this key role, you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Head of Curriculum and Performance. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Curriculum and Performance to manage administrative tasks, support project coordination and ensure that high standards of curriculum delivery and performance management are maintained across the Organisation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Curriculum and Performance in the development and monitoring of curriculum and quality improvement plans.
  • Meeting administration, preparation and production of minutes of these meetings
  • Assist in the coordination and management of the annual self-assessment process
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in gathering data and information for preparing organisational reports

You should have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Your communication skills be second to none, and you will be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a business support or administrative role
  • Possess strong administrative skills and the ability to provide support for meetings which include arranging dates, room bookings and preparation of agendas, note taking and any other related tasks
  • Experience of working with internal and external customers either face to face or by phone
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Desirable:
  • Experience in the education or charity sector.
  • Fluency in Welsh or a commitment to learn.
  • Understanding of the strategic challenges faced by adult learning organisations.
