Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Milford Haven School

Salary: Grade 6 - £27,269 - £30,060 pro rata

Grade 6 - £27,269 for 37 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £23,953.21 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £24,476.20 pro rata per annum after 5 years' service.

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Milford Haven School seek to appoint a hardworking, flexible and enthusiastic HLTA to join a very caring team in this forward thinking, fully inclusive and supportive school.

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with pupils with social, emotional, ASD, MLD, SLD and behavioral difficulties.

The HLTA will have responsibility to run the KS3 and KS4 alternative curriculum for the Bay pupils on a daily basis. The successful applicant will need a working knowledge of the Princes Trust, SWEET, Agored Cymru qualifications and ASDAN programs.

The successful candidate will be required to engage pupils in learning activities to ensure that the learning objectives are achieved; ensuring inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the Alternative Curriculum in order to promote equal opportunities. You will deliver lessons to small groups of students, at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and set up and manage Alternative Curriculum contacts.

Milford Haven is situated on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast in an area where housing is inexpensive and the quality of life is second to none. We are an 11-16 school with over 1100 pupils on roll and is continuing to increase in future years.
