Greenhill School is an 11 to 19 comprehensive school that serves the historic walled town of Tenby and surrounding areas. Based in the picturesque surroundings of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the school is a caring, inclusive and a welcoming environment where pupils and staff are proud of their strong values and ethos.

We are delighted to announce that we are recruiting for an enthusiastic teacher of Computing to join our thriving and growing Computing AoLE. We currently offer Key Stage 3 Computing aligned to the new CfW, Key Stage 4 Digital Technology and Computer Science and Key Stage 5 Digital Technology, Computer Science and Business Studies. We also teach skills across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 in the form of the Welsh Baccalaureate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a range of these digital subjects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the delivery of new programmes in a vital curriculum area that is growing and in demand. The AoLE is also very proud to be a Champion Ambassador for the First Tech Challenge and they take part in regular national competitions.

The successful candidate will join a skilled and hard-working Computing team operating within a supportive and encouraging culture. This is a full-time teaching post and an open-ended contract. The start date will be January 2025 or sooner.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Computing lessons to students across various age groups, ensuring a stimulating learning environment.
  • Foster a passion for technology incorporating innovative teaching methods and real-world applications.

Contribute to the development and implementation of a cutting-edge curriculum. Are you an intuitive, engaging and adaptable classroom practitioner who sets and keeps high expectations?

You will join our enthusiastic and collaborative computing team, teaching across all Key Stages (KS3, 4 and 5). Students follow the specifications in WJEC Computer Science, WJEC Digital Technology, WJEC Business Studies and WJEC Welsh Baccalaureate.

The AoLE has excellent resources: Five high spec PC suites in the main school building, as well as a dedicated 6 th Form Digital Space and a suite of chromebooks.
