The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience as a school secretary and be able to carry out duties and responsibilities as set out in the job description. The successful candidate will support and promote the school ethos and values, working closely with the Head teacher, office staff, Senior Management Team, staff, children and Governors.
The ability to create a welcoming atmosphere to the school is essential.
In addition to usual administrative tasks, key responsibilities will include maintaining and updating databases and spreadsheets, dealing with complex reception/visitor matters, liaising with parents in a confident and friendly manner.

- Has excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
- Is able to work constructively and flexibly as part of a team.
- Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, suitable for working in a busy school office.
- Have a confident and approachable attitude, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
- Has good literacy/numeracy skills and excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages
- Experience of using SIMS would advantageous, but not essential
- Be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community
- Be innovative and flexible in their approach
