We currently have 2 open ended positions for 13 hours per week each, term time only, worked over 2 days. We would consider 1 position at 4 days.Grade 7 - £31,067.00 for 13 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £9588.00 pro rata
You will be required to provide school-based counselling support for children and young people in Pembrokeshire.
In order to ensure counsellors meet recognised quality standards we require post holders to be registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), in addition we encourage BACP accreditation.
You will be expected to be qualified to Level 4 in Counselling, ideally with evidence of further professional qualifications. You will provide predominantly school-based 1:1 therapeutic counselling support for children and young people in school settings and occasionally on a peripatetic basis across Pembrokeshire.
You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team providing counselling assessments for children and young people as well as acting in a consultative capacity and offering guidance to other professionals enabling them to better identify and support learners with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.
The position is primarily lone working within the school environment, you will be well supported through peer support, regular team meetings and both individual and group supervision. The School Based Counselling Lead will be on hand to help identify and offer any additional support required throughout your time with the service.
